Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the services of Locally Swift Transport ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
Services Provided
Locally Swift Transport provides:
- Local moving and delivery services
- Heavy item transport (up to 2,000 lbs)
- Bounce house delivery and pickup
- Package and freight delivery
- Same-day and scheduled delivery services
All services are subject to availability and geographic location within Greater Los Angeles, California.
Booking and Quotes
Estimates
All quotes and estimates provided are based on the information you supply. Actual costs may vary if the scope of work differs from the initial description. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if:
- Item weight, size, or quantity differs from the estimate
- Access conditions (stairs, elevators, parking) differ from described
- Additional services are requested
- Unexpected obstacles or delays occur
Booking Confirmation
Services are confirmed only after you receive written or verbal confirmation from us. Booking requests submitted via phone, email, or website contact form are not confirmed until we acknowledge receipt and confirm availability.
Payment Terms
- Payment Due: Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing
- Accepted Methods: Cash, Venmo, Zelle, or other agreed payment methods
- Deposits: Some services may require a deposit at the time of booking
- Late Payments: Late payments may incur additional fees or interest charges
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customer Cancellations
- 24+ hours notice: Full refund of any deposit
- Less than 24 hours: Cancellation fee may apply (50% of estimate)
- Same-day cancellation: Full estimate may be charged
- No-show: Full estimate will be charged
Company Cancellations
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule services due to weather, equipment failure, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer to reschedule or provide a full refund.
Customer Responsibilities
As a customer, you agree to:
- Accurate Information: Provide accurate descriptions of items, locations, and access conditions
- Access: Ensure clear access to pickup and delivery locations (parking, building access, elevators)
- Preparation: Properly prepare items for transport (securing loose parts, disconnecting utilities, etc.)
- Prohibited Items: Do not request transport of hazardous materials, illegal items, or perishable goods without prior agreement
- Presence: Be present or designate a representative at pickup and delivery locations
- Payment: Provide timely payment as agreed
Liability and Insurance
Insurance Coverage
Locally Swift Transport carries general liability insurance. However, our liability for damage or loss is limited as follows:
- Maximum Liability: $0.60 per pound per item unless additional insurance is purchased
- High-Value Items: Items valued over $500 must be declared prior to transport, and additional insurance may be required
- Customer-Packed Items: We are not liable for damage to items packed by the customer
- Pre-Existing Damage: We are not liable for pre-existing damage or wear and tear
Damage Claims
All damage claims must be reported within 48 hours of service completion. Claims should be submitted in writing with photographic evidence. We reserve the right to inspect damaged items before processing claims.
Limitations of Liability
We are not liable for:
- Damage caused by customer negligence or improper preparation
- Damage to items declared as "customer-packed"
- Delays caused by weather, traffic, or circumstances beyond our control
- Consequential or indirect damages (lost income, missed appointments, etc.)
- Items left in furniture or containers that were not disclosed
Prohibited Items
We do not transport the following without prior written agreement:
- Hazardous materials (flammable, corrosive, toxic substances)
- Illegal items or contraband
- Live animals or plants
- Firearms or ammunition
- Currency, jewelry, or other high-value items (unless declared and insured)
- Perishable food items
Safety and Compliance
- We comply with all applicable local, state, and federal transportation regulations
- Our drivers are trained and insured
- Our equipment (hydraulic liftgate, dollies, moving blankets) is regularly inspected and maintained
- We follow safety protocols for heavy item handling
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Locally Swift Transport from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your negligence, or your violation of any laws or regulations.
Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Severability
